Content- Whether a new site or old, you need to submit your text content/pages for your page. If something is changing and you want to change it-do it BEFORE or submit full text page(with changes) during order. Will I edit your content as needed for flow-POSSIBLY. Will I write all your content-ABSOLUTELY NOT. But I will help “adjust” what you provide if you need help but this does not mean submit 3 sentences and wait for 60 sentences or 10 pages to be generated. No one should be able to describe you, your services, products etc. better than you.
You will need to submit all HI-RES (original/large/professional) photos of yourself that may be used for the website. You would also need to include all hi-res transparent formats (no background) of your relevant logos. This will also include any relevant professional product photos, front bookcovers etc . as it pertains to your website. Don’t forget testimonial photos if you want those included. Basically any photos (other than stock photos) that you own would need to be submitted in their highest resolution.
If you have colors you want to see ( you may be matching to current logo-you can also addtionally purchase a new logo then submit those colors with your order. if there is anything you feel I should know that is relevant to design then please advise.
TIP : Make a page outline to help you determine what pages you need if you are unclear and start there with building content.
TIPS and TO-DO’S
If you already have a WordPress site that is being revamped or starting from scratch I will need to be given user access /log-in information.
You are responsible for domain purpose and hosting on a from scratch product but if you have a question please ask. I will then need log-in info for your host so that WordPress can be added and your build can begin.
If you are in need of professional photos please do so before the start of your project and obtain your photo shoot via CD or online access so that you can easily share photos. (300 DPI Hi-res photos requested)
Be sure to have hi-res photos of products (as applicable).
Be sure you are clear on functionality needed as these things add to cost and must be accounted for in your invoice.
–Personal Photos and/or Headshots _Please ask in advance for photo suggestions if not already secured.
–Contact Information – Mailing address, email or office physical location if applicable
–Social Media Links (if not already setup be sure to try to establish the same name for all to have consistent branding ie: If you Facebook is coachjanedoe then try to secure coachjanedoe on Twitter, Google, Youtube etc.
–Color Preferences if Any (matching to logo etc.)
Hi-Res Professional Logo if applicable (you can purchase with AM in addition to website if needed)
Things to remember:
AM is able to offer its price range and it therefore will not include EVERYTHING and 10 other things. Take note this is about setup and aesthetics. It does not include on-going maintenance, hosting, domain, back-up services (which we recommend you obtain from your vendor of choice so your website can be restored as needed if you will be doing your own handling/maintenance or outsourcing), page redos, page additions or anything else for the most part. We like to build sites live and this also does not allow for fixes from adjustments you decide to make while your project is still open. This may result in project closure on our end if our requests are not met.
These are just some standards to get started. For the most part if you want it on the site, need to have some type of functionality etc.-then add it to your order. This helps determine your invoice. And of course per terms, any add-ons will result in further fees so yes you can think of things later but you will be invoiced for items that extend beyond your base site.
